I want you to read this book. this was not just an inspiring story that you will shed tears on. But rather an adventure story that unlocks mystery about the murder of the protagonists husbands. I assure you that once you've get hold of this book, you can never put it down for a second.
Summary: When the wives of two of the “suicide” victims get together to compare notes, they realize there is a strange connection between their husbands’ deaths – both men worked for a giant think-tank called the Kingsley International Group, and both men were on their way to Washington, D.C., to meet with someone about something dangerous. Something that would cost them, and a dozen or so others, their lives.
Something called “Prima.”
Our two heroines, beautiful model Kelly Harris and lovely artist Diane Stevens, set out to meet with the enigmatic owner of KIG, the brilliant and powerful Tanner Kingsley, who has recently taken over the company from its founder - his brother, Andrew - after a terrible accident cost Andrew his ability to think. Or was it an accident? Soon, Kelly and Diane are on the run from killers they cannot identify, yet who seem somehow connected to KIG. And no matter what they do or where they go, the killers know where they are. Somebody brilliant is behind the scheme to end their lives, and silence them before they can learn what happened to their husbands.
As we are dragged deeper into the story, more dead bodies turn up, and our two gals dodge bullets at every turn as they try to piece together the story behind KIG and the many deaths associated with Prima. As they get closer to the truth, they come face to face with an enemy so clever and vile, they must resort to their deepest strengths to try and stay alive.

>>>This is a story of a guy who was imprisoned for many years for nothing, He lost the girl that he love and their child, after many years he went to london and there he sought revenge. he work as a barber and all the persons who come across his house to seek his service, was killed using his blade and was stock under his house.... The story was Brutal, that's why it had a R-18 rating.
The story was quiet evil, but it is a masterpiece! the plot was about revenge and LOve as well... when i stated watching it last night, i can't resist to pause it and continue the next day, so that i can sleep early. i finished it even if it's too late already... This movie was also a musical, and the songs were all serenading...
try to watch this movie... I have a DVD so if ever your interested in watching just tell me...

the effects are good.. actually this review was kinda late, i know, i watched it last month? but then i find it Boring (haha) in the middle part... this is an epic which we already tackled in our Lit class in my junior years... So offcourse the picture in my mind with regards to the monsters is deffinitely unlikely disame as the monster which was played by Angelina Jolie... who is very beautiful... the story is beautiful if ur just interested with the classical epic literatures... but then i find the movie so long that i didn't realized that i'm already taking my nap in the climax scene... anyways i still enjoyed watching and staying in the movie house... What if you were a teenage girl who is more interested in playing soccer than learning to cook and finding a husband, over the objections of your traditional Indian family? This gentle and heartwarming story asks just that. The movie is set in multicultural London and is a wonderful example of how to smile at our cultural differences, without undermining others’ ideas. Bend It Like Beckham looks at the borderless story of a young person with a dream that conflicts with the expectations of her family and her community. Chadha manages to tell this warm story with a light touch that keeps the drama without losing the humour. This is managed by having a cast of uniformly superb actors with well-developed, natural characters to work with. A surprise hit upon its release, this is sure to be a pleasant surprise for those that missed it. It will hold your attention and give you a laugh and a smile. I found this to be an enjoyable but unremarkable movie. It won’t make any top ten lists (either good or bad), but it will provide some pretty good Friday night entertainment, especially for us teen crowd.
This is a standard suspense/horror, but a pretty good one with a decent, formula story and a couple well-developed characters. The suspense is well handled and it made me jump a few times. Director Caruso, making his first big screen effort here, does an impressive job keeping the tension ramped up when needed, which is crucial in a film of this genre.
Shia LaBoeuf is pretty good as Kale, a troubled teenager dealing with difficult issues that lead to run ins with the law and a summer under house arrest. The resulting boredom has him spending long periods of time watching his neighbors including the philandering husband across the street, the hot new girl next door, and a mysterious, suspicious neighbor on the other side. The story unfolds at a leisurely pace, but held my interest as it did so, thanks to LaBoeuf’s convincing preformance. Once the third act (the last 30 minutes or so) sets in, look out! It grabs you, pulls you to the edge of your seat and holds you there. A little far-fetched, perhaps, but hey, thats how suspense films work, right?

"freakining thriller!" Jim Carrey didn’t give us too many chuckles in this relentlessly dark and creepy thriller. The story is plodding, but engaging and the performances are fine. The first half has extensive narration and is reminiscent of American Psycho in that regard. The comparison ends there, however, since this feature has none of the dark, over-the-top humor of the latter. The look is often surreal, and there is no color used that is brighter than blood red.
Jim Carrey is Walter Sparrow, an animal control officer who is given a used gift as a birthday gift by his wife, Agatha (Virginia Madsen). The name of the book is 23 and the writer, whose story we see acted out through Walter’s eyes, is obsessed with coincidences around the number 23. This leads to some horrifying moments for the book’s hero and soon Walter is also seeing the number 23 everywhere. I glanced at the digital clock nearby and luckily the digits didn’t add up to 23 in any way that my little brain could come up with before my ADD kicked in and sent me to the kitchen for a snack. Whew, that was close. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, the movie! So, from here, Walter becomes equally obsessed with the number 23 and the author of the book and begins investigations, as his wife and son look on with some concern.
I enjoy thrillers that are well thought out and executed, so this is right up my alley. If you enjoyed features like Frailty and Stir of Echoes, then this will be to your taste. Some will find it too slow and dark and will lose interest before the overly long ending begins. The movie was out of the theater before ticket buyers could get to their seats with popcorn and it didn’t deserve a fate like that. It is a well-done thriller and if you enjoy the genre, then this should make good viewing, but if you are more discriminating, there are better choices out there.

"I've just seen this in DVD... hope my review was right" Miss Potter is a period romance with Zellweger again playing a woman who believes that love and marriage have passed her by. The acting is strong and the characters are engaging. The story starts out light, but the mood takes a surprising swing into some dark territory for awhile, which is a little unusual for a Zellweger choice, but it does land in more familiar territory soon enough.
Renee Zellweger is Beatrix Potter, the author of “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”. Her preference for drawing and writing, over the usual distractions of upper class ladies of the 19th century marks her as different. The movie begins with Miss Potter searching for a publisher for her children’s story. She finds a publisher and Norman Warne (Ewan McGregor), also somewhat socially awkward, becomes her editor. Their relationship grows, as does her success. This was extremely rare for a woman in the restrictive male-dominated society of Victorian England.
Beatrix Potter fans, period piece purveyors and Jane Austen fans will find this drama to be enjoyable. The historical aspects add to the story. The quirky Potter’s relationship with her own created characters adds an unusual element to the story that some will appreciate and others will tolerate. Overall, it is an average effort.

Mr. Bean is back to give us ninety minutes of nonsense that is mainly dependant upon physical comedy. This, the second Bean movie, is more European than the first. The movie starts out weak, but does get better as it goes on, though the humor is more likely to elicit a chuckle than a laugh, even among Bean fans, which I admit I am not.
The man with a thousand faces starts out here by winning a trip to Cannes in a church raffle. On his way to the legendary beaches of the Riviera, he ruins the day of a few people before accidentally separating a father and son on their way to Cannes. The hero then tries to help the poor boy, Stepan (Baldry) re-unite with his father and soon has plenty of problems of his own, before he meets an aspiring actress named Sabine (de Caunes) after disrupting American film director, Carson Clay’s (played by Dafoe) film efforts. There is a chicken chase, an opera performance, and a film festival premiere, but most of all, there is constant Bean idiocy and camera mugging that has gained Atkinson millions of fans all over the world.
This film was not to my taste, but my companion, who was a Bean fan, suggested that four stars would be a fair rating. Her assessment, notwithstanding, I went lower than that. Not only because I didn’t get too many laughs out of this one, but also because I didn’t see any uproarious response from the crowd, which I would expect included a good number of Bean fans. So, there it is. Bean fans will probably enjoy it, while their companions will probably feel like they are proving their loyalty/love/friendship, etc. by going along.

In order to compose these words of wit to inform, entertain and advise all of my loyal readers, I have to see almost every movie that comes out. This means I have to sniff a lot of crap, but the payoff (besides entertaining all of you wonderful readers) comes when I find a gem that I would have surely missed, otherwise. This is such a movie. This is a fast-paced clever and amusing little family film with neat characters; some good understated humor, and an acceptable story.
Andrew Fleming wastes no time here, rocketing out of the gate with a fast-paced opening. Emma Roberts shines in the title role, who is an ‘everyone loves her’ kinda girl with a sixties wardrobe to go with a fifties mindset. The result is a movie that becomes Pleasantville reversed when Nancy moves to LA with her dad (allowing for yet another Bruce Willis cameo). She also has to promise her dad that she will give up sleuthing, but when they move into the haunted house of a murdered movie star, she doesn’t keep this promise for long.
Nancy Drew is a surprisingly amusing comedy that should be a good choice for family entertainment that also reminded me a little of The Brady Bunch movie. The ending gets a little silly, but this is pretty standard for comedies. Its worth seeing if you were already interested, have some bored munchkins, or if there is nothing else of interest to choose. Good horrors are like good women (or men depending, on your point of view). They are damn hard to find, but I hit pay dirt today with 1408. Its the John Cusack Actors’ Workshop, here. He still plays John Cusack, as he always does, but this is a challenging script to perform, not only because of the wide range of extreme emotions required, but also beause he is usually acting alone. To make this work, Cusack has to sell us with his performance. Wrap it, bag it and ship it C.O.D., because I bought it. I am a Cusack fan, but this is the most challenging role of his career. There is a strong, suspenseful story that manages to change gears whenever it is in danger of becoming mired down in repeat material. Finish it off with a pretty good ending (always the most challenging part of any screenplay, particularly suspense features) and the result is a tense, clever thriller.
John Cusack is Mike Enslin, a cynical, but determined horror writer who gets wind of a particularly haunted suite at an exclusive NYC hotel. Hotel manager, Gerald Olin (Samuel L. Jackson), does his best to dissuade Enslin from staying in the room with tales of strange occurences and the countless guests who really did ‘check out’, but to no avail. Enslin is determined to stay the night and debunk the supernatural reputation of room 1408. Sounds simple enough.
Imagine Castaway crossed with The Shining and you will have some idea of what to expect from this film. Horror fans will like it’s shock-and-jump scenes and thriller fans will enjoy the persistent tension. Cusack fans will be glad to see him stretching himself. This is a quality feature that should please most of its genre fans. Posted by Angelica on Aug 25, '07 7:58 AM for everyone | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Action & Adventure |
Well, Bruce Willis is back as the wise-cracking energizer bunny of action movies, John Mclane. Eighties heroes are in vogue in Tinseltown and the Die Hard franchise is the second to cash in (following Rocky Balbo duhhh). They really stuck to the formula here, and managed to make a decent action pic that is high-energy, fast-paced and far-fetched (but to quote Meatloaf, “Two out of three ain’t bad”). The whole effort has a slight tongue-in-cheek tone, so it is easier to laugh with the ridiculous parts rather than at them. Willis is good and, as in #3, he has a buddy in this one, played by Justin “Hi, I’m a Mac” Long to help with the humour and techno jargon.
The Die Hards have always had high tech master villains and that continues with #4 which could have been called Die Hard 4: When Good Geeks Go Bad! Mclane’s personal life is its usual mess when he is asked to pick up a computer hacker, Matt Farrell (Long) for questioning. He gets there just in time to save Farrell’s life from some really serious dudes and the chase is on. Now Mclane has to keep Farrell alive and figure out what’s going on while foiling the bad guys from taking control of all the communications and utilities on the east coast.
“When Nerds Attack” is a popular Hollywood theme and we have seen similar stuff in movies like Enemy Of The State and, more recently, “Déjà Vu”. Still this movie is not bad and the explosion junkies will main vein it for a satisfying action fix. I am going to tie it with #2 for second place in the Die Hard series. Just don’t expect everything to make sense and a believability rating of no higher than impossible. Art it ain’t, but lively it is. Yippee Ki Yay!

I hate to think that this is the best role that Ben Kingsley is being offered these days. This rather disappointing effort reminded me of Eragon as another fantasy film that has translated poorly from its literary roots because of a poor script. While better than Eragon, which was a complete wreck of a movie, this one teeters between poor and mediocre. It features pretty good fight scenes, though some will be disappointed by the complete absence of gore, but its story is a muddled mix of Arthurian legend and Roman history. The characters are wooden and the dialog is stale and unimaginative. There is an out-of-place add-on romantic subplot and the acting, even from the experienced names, ranges from poor to average.
Young Thomas Sangster plays Romulus Augustus Caesar, the young heir to the throne of the Roman Empire, who soon finds himself on the run with a handful of supporters, when his empire is snatched by an ugly and evil army of Goths. His surviving guard is led by Aurelius (Colin Firth), who is joined by the boy’s teacher, a mysterious traveler named Ambrosinus (Kingsley) and a curious warrior played by Aishwarya Rai, a well-known Asian star in what appears to be her first North American film appearance as the best chick with a blade since Kill Bill.
There are undiscriminating fans of this genre that will enjoy this film. They go in with few expectations of story or original well-constructed characters. Many of them will be disappointed in the lack of effects and low budget production values and will not be won over. As for the rest of us, this is just another release hoping to cash in on new fantasy fans created by the Lord of the Rings Trilogy that will be on video before you know it and forgotten soon after.

This is an unusual Irish crime drama/comedy that claims to be like Snatch – a bold claim to be sure. It’s brutal, has more swearing than a high school locker room, and seems to try too hard to be outrageous, while trying to keep the mood from getting too serious. It does resemble Snatch in the mood it tries to set (brutality mixed with witty dialog), but it doesn’t approach those lofty heights. Canadian Mike Scullion directs and wrote the movie with his brother, Kevin. The directing is ok, though the acting falters in spots.
Robbie Banks is an English gangster, long on temper and a little short on brains, who gets released from prison and is looking to make some real money. His plan involves a pirated Irish pub and a nearby opportunity, but the family whose pub, he’s grabbed is not ready to just walk away, and they have a plan.
A collection of muddled accents combine with a muddled story that I didn’t quite follow to make a so-so film. There are some interesting scenes and I had to appreciate the homage it pays to Guy Ritchie’s classic, but in the end, it is as close to a well-intentioned failure as it is to a success. This is a high-energy music story with the rare ability to keep moving seamlessly while the singers do their thing staying in the context of the story rather than the add-on style of a traditional musical. Director Bill Condon showed a lot of creativity in steering this project to success. The acting talent is here, the performers ooze screen presence and the soundtrack is infectious, but, though I enjoyed it, the long story-telling songs became tiresome. For many, who loved Chicago and Moulin Rouge, this what they enjoy, but give me more story. A trio of African-American female singers, Deena (Beyonce), Effie (Jennifer Hudson, showing she belongs) and Lorrell (Rose) are struggling for success in the 60s and hook up with an established performer, Jimmy Early (Murphy) and an ambitious, aspiring producer, Curtis (Foxx) to find their way to the charts and all that success brings. Danny Glover lends his talents as Early’s manager. All of this is set in the changing world of the 1960s and i would have liked to see more done with that. I didn’t see this one until video and had high expectations from its Oscar attention and from what others had told me. It easily surpassed those expectations at first, but the wall-to-wall music interfered with my enjoyment. This is a very good musical and worth seeing if this is a genre you enjoy. Be warned, if you don’t like 60s Motown sound, this one is not for you.

"Reminiscing..." In a tepid summer of tired sequels and action orgies this film is a breath of fresh air. I am not usually a big fan of musicals, but this one won me over! The young cast seems to be bursting with joy and the experienced performers are clearly having a ball, as well. The songs are exuberant and the story, well-known to many because of its long run as a stage show (based on a 80’s flick and starring Ricki Lake at one point), is very good for a musical and even addresses the civil rights’ issues of the 60s.
Teenage newcomer, Nikki Blonsky, won the celebrity lottery and landed the lead role of Tracy Turnblad, a Baltimore high school student who is obsessed with becoming one of the dancers on the local Corny Collins Show and stealing the heart of the lead dancer, Link Larkin (Zac Efron). Tracy’s mother, Edna Turnblad, played frighteningly well in drag by John Travolta, is worried that Tracy will get hurt. This role has traditionally been played in drag going back to the 1988 feature with the famous transvestite, Divine. Christopher Walken is great as Tracy’s dad, who supports her dream. Look for a funny cameo by original writer, John Waters as a neighborhood flasher. Michelle Pfeifer and Brittany Snow star as the nasty mother/daughter team of Velma and Amber Von Tussle who are determined to prevent any changes to lily white, homogenous look of the show. Queen Latifah and Elijah Kelley’s characters of Motormouth Maybelle and Seaweed, performers on the show’s ‘Negro Day’ march to fight for the rights of all, when even that tiny representation on the air is threatened. Tracy disregards the risk and marches with them.
Well, I don’t want to start gushing, but this is the most appealing and energetic musical since Grease and if you liked that wonderful fifties romp, then this should be a can’t-miss movie for you. The performances and charming cast combine with a strong story, along with catchy tunes and nifty dance numbers, to create a winner that will be remembered long after the summer and all of its mediocre films have been forgotten.

"Fast Food Naah!" This is my favorite documentary. It is funny, informative and has a really good story. Add this to the fact that we don’t know how it will end. What will the final result be? Spurlock does a phenomenal job as the director/writer/actor/guinea pig. He has great screen presence and lets his personality shine through to let the viewer really care what is happening.
Super Size Me asks the question what would happen if someone ate nothing but MacDonald’s for a month? Morgan Spurlock declares his intention, talks to a series of experts to both determine his own current state of health, and get their viewpoint of what the effects of this diet may be. While we are going thru this month long experiment, Spurlock also talks about the state of the fast food industry in general and the weight problem issues of the United States.
This is a wonderful documentary combining entertainment and social responsibility to create a wonderful program that I consider a must-see, and a great addition to anyone’s movie library
