It's a gloomy wednesday when our grammar mentor asked us to make a journal visualizing ourselves few years from now (I chose 25 years ahead, coz i know that it's more possible to reach my goals in that spand of time than 5-10 yrs.. you'll now better why 5 or 10 yrs. was not enough when you continue reading this blog.)
" The secret to productive goal setting is in establishing clearly defined goals, writing them down and then focusing on them several times a day with words, pictures and emotions as if we've already achieved them." -Denis Waitley
This journal activity was one of my favorite. Maybe because i just love to write about the things that i want to achieve after years of hardworking spend in my eduacation, and hoping that destiny won't let me down in achieving my goals. Dreaming became a habit for me, and as i grow older my dreams got older as well, they soar as high as the human mind can think (i mean they just became unreachable for me) okay, for you to understand me better, i can site some exmples of my dreams...
* i dream of becoming a superstar... (anyone can laugh... haha gee! that's really horrible... i know) well, but not like those superstar seen on TV but rather superstar on my own career. i want to be a professional, having my own license as a Certifies Public Accountant, a CPA... and i really want to be a superstar in this field. working in a bank as an executive, and plans to put up an accounting firm. (ok, it's not horrible anyway).
* i dream of having my own business (aside from my accounting form)... since i was a child, i always do love the ambiance of Beaches, I love swimming too... so maybe you already have a clue on my first dream business. A resort. well, with a nature motif. gee! gee! gee! i Love it.. next, i want to put up a restaurant (with my brother as the chief cook... that's if i can convinced him to take up HRM or Culinary arts) i love eating! i Love gerry's concept... i mean Gerry's grill concept of having a native but classy restaurant with first-class and mouth-watering pinoy dishes and delicacies. in this concept i will not just earn profit but help in promoting our country's dishes as well.
*i want to built a townhouse or multi-door apartments for my parents to manage, so that they can still have passive income even if they don't have stable jobs anymore.
* ok, this is a very silly dream. and my last "dream-sharing" at the same time. 25 years from now, surely or if not, then maybe... i have already a family of my own. happily living in a modern house (designed by my sister, who is in that time, a well-known architect) with a 2-floor parking lot for our HUNDREDS OF LUXERY CARS...at an executive village somewhere in alabang (haha) with a faithful, god fearing, Handsome (plsssss God... haha) Husband, also a professional with a stable work, and with our 2 kids (only two... ) a girl and a boy... studying in a well-known exclusive schools.
Do I become too ambitious?
ok so much of those silly big dreams of mine. well, what i realized about this writting activity was that: Dreaming isn't bad at all, actually, it is our motivator in reaching our goals... Maybe mine was very unrealistic if you talk about my own capabilities... but! there's no such thing as BIG DREAMS or IMPOSSIBLE DREAMS if you really work hard to earn it... if you think you can't then surely, you can't! But if you think positive, work hard (REALLY HARD! FOLKS!) and KEEP YOUR FAITH IN HIM... then, what's impossible?
